This
was a good follow up to the first novella From the Ashes. In this installment,
we get the very beginning of Paige “Skyla” Madden’s and Kael Wolfe’s story
which is just heartbreaking. After escaping Club Caged, Paige made a life for
herself and reconnects with Kael and their journey begins.
Before
they can move forward, they have to bury their demons from their past. Secrets
are revealed and revenge is planned, but once the past is buried, can Paige and
Kael truly move forward towards their happily ever after? This was a good read
and I look forward to reading more from this author!
