***4 Forbidden Stars!!***
This was forbidden love at its best and not to mention kind of taboo as well!!! This was my first read by Natasha Knight and she did a good job with this story.
Damon is currently in seminary as is supposed to be ordained as a priest in six months. Lina is Damon’s much younger sister in law (Damon’s twin is married to Lina’s sister). Both have been attracted to each other since four years prior and had one day together when Lina was 16 and Damon was 24(hence taboo!).
Fast forward to the present. Damon spots Lina playing piano a local club in New York. Lina is supposed to be away at college in Chicago. From here Damon sets out to see why Lina is in New York and tries to help her get out of some trouble she may be. From here the plot develops. Damon is conflicted about his feelings for Lina and is questioning his upcoming ordination because of his feelings for Lina while trying to keep Lina out of the trouble she is in. I must say that Damon is just HOT in this book and that is all I will say about that. As the story continues, the plot thickens and secrets are exposed with the real reason why Lina is in New York.
Overall, this was a really good story and I just wish that Lina was a little older in the book. Her character really didn’t seem like a 20 year old. I would like to also see more of Damon’s younger brother Zach as well and find out what his story is. For those who like the forbidden love and taboo reads, this book is perfect.
